There’s no denying Philly’s housing boom over the last several years.  Although the 2015 stats won’t be available until next year, the 2014 stats placed Philadelphia 12th on the list of cities with the highest volume of inbound moves according to a report in the Philadelphia Business Journal.  Meaning more folks have been moving into Philadelphia than moving out. Among the top groups swelling the city’s population are empty nesters.


This may be shocking considering we’ve been conditioned to believe the trend is of empty nesters moving to the burbs where everything is quiet and safe. On the contrary empty nesters are flocking to the city to experience the growing culture, entertainment and restaurants that Philadelphia has to offer.
